I know, print marketing seems to be going the way of the dodo bird - outdated… But don’t forget a fab brochure is still a good tool to use when you’re attending a trade show, a ‘business after work’ social, or any other event where you’ll be meeting new people to talk about your business. An incredible brochure:

  • Gets to the point quickly. Your brochure should highlight the most important stuff (i.e. Why should I buy this product/service from you? LOGO

Overview
I know, you don't want to be THAT person with the awkward looking logo. We know who you are! Here are some common mistakes people make when creating their own logos:

  • It's too busy. Yes, it is important to convey a message and differentiate your business with your logo. BUT cramming in a ton of text, colors and design elements is not the way to go. Keep It Simple Sweetheart (KISS).

  • It's not versatile enough. Can your logo go from being printed on a business card to something larger - like a T-shirt? How does it look inverted or in black and white? Your logo should be versatile and have the ability to be placed on a variety of back drops without losing its integrity.

  • It's not built in vector art. A logo should be designed in a program like Adobe Illustrator and saved as a high-resolution .eps or outlined .ai file. It is important to have the correct type of file so you can blow your logo up to fit a billboard if you wanted to and it won’t become blurry, pixelated and overall crappy.
